The starting position and the zoom level can easily be set when creating or editing a map.  There is a Custom Zoom & Center option to allow the zoom level and center position of the map to be set (or changed).

To Change either the zoom level or starting position when the live map is opened:

1. Check the Custom Zoom & Center box (on the map create or edit page)
2. Put the map at the zoom level and center you want it to be at when it is opened.
3. Save the map

Effectively “Custom Zoom & Center” opens the live map to the center position and zoom level it is saved at.
